Player's rights and privileges
- To re-tee the ball if it falls from the tee peg before making a stroke
- To re-tee when playing another ball from the teeing ground
- Recall an opponents shot if he played out of turn on the tee or outside the tee markers
- Take a drop without penalty from ground under repair
- Take a drop without penalty from immovable obstructions
- Re-drop without penalty if the ball is accidentally dropped in an incorrect position
- Remove loose impediments
- Remove movable obstructions and replace the ball without penalty if it moves during the course of the removal
- Ask an opponent the number of strokes he has played
- Ask for information regarding matter of fact, the position of the flagstick, line of play through the green, distances
- Change a ball that is unfit for play
- Mark and lift a ball for identification purposes
- Make practice swings at any time
- Search for five minutes to find a ball
- Mark, lift and clean a ball at any time on the putting green
- Repair pitch marks on the putt line
- Replace a ball if moved by an outside agency
- Clean a ball when taking relief under the rules
- In stroke play put a second ball into play if doubtful of rights and procedure
- Replace any club which becomes unfit in normal play if not exceeding 14 clubs
- Borrow a club from any person during a round, if not exceeding 14 clubs, but once borrowed only you may use the club for the completion of the round
- Refrain from grounding your club in springy rough or on the green in windy conditions, if the ball moves after you have taken a stance you are not penalised
- Drop without penalty in a hazard if a ball is lost in casual water, ground under repair or animal scrapes
- Seek information and advice from your partner and your caddie
- Suspend play if you feel threatened by lightning
- Suspend play if you fall ill
