Friday
The first day's golf was held at Calverley Golf Club, near Pudsey. The weather started out quite bright, and apart from a couple of heavy showers turned out better than was expected.

Saturday
As usual Saturday was competition day. The venue was Branshaw Golf Club at Keighley. This course is situated right on top of a large hill, and the views are fairly spectacular. The weather was extremely windy, and with heather on the edge of most fairways, proved very tricky for most players, especially Matt who was also trying to get to grips with a new driver purchased from the clubhouse 5 minutes before tee off !

Handicaps were given based on scores posted into the golf system (which are based off yellow tees). Everybody seemed quite happy with their handicap, especially Geoff (off 21) who reckoned his handicap was about 15 (bandit!). As you can see from the table below, Geoff went on to win the competition. Well played Geoff. (He's now playing off 14).

Sunday
Sunday's golf was played at Wike Ridge, near Leeds. The course was more open than the first two days and so was a little easier. The weather was fine until about the last hour when it turned on us, with wind and rain making the last few holes a bit grim. Having said that, everyone enjoyed the day, and a quick bite to eat in the clubhouse before the long journey back made everyone feel a bit better.
